Those who tuned in last week witnessed a first in aberrant radio.   We are able to broadcast today but are checking the operations. It will be a short show, 30 minutes. We plan on simply running pre-recorded audio of an interview, with no news or spoken word to start.  If all goes well and we have time announcements will be made at the end to test the mics. Sorry for any technical difficulties.  If you have questions contact BlogTalkRadio.com

The existing remainder of this program was privately archived here: http://www.bridgestonemediagroup.com/media/WakingUpOrwell-SheilaDean_Wm_01-21-10.mp3

THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW

PsiOp Radio 107 – 100221 with Guest Skylaire Alfvegren

Skylaire Alfvegren & The League of Fortean Intermediatists

Skylaire Alfvegren has worked on cars for the Mexican mafia and roped cattle on the border of Area 51. Having witnessed her first UFO alongside Air Force personnel as a child, she began her writing career at seventeen with “File o’ the Damned,” a column of Fortean investigation for Fizz Magazine.

Not yet of legal drinking age, she was hired as a consultant for Strange Universe, the Fox Network’s nationally-syndicated “paranormal news program,” wrote regularly for the L.A. Weekly and built a laboratory to grow amanita muscaria.

Translated into nine languages and plastered helter skelter online, her gonzo reportage has appeared in countless magazines, books and journals. Descended from the Dark Elves of old Scandanavia, she is currently applying her vast knowledge of California – the esoteric, the dark, and the weird – to the small screen; and recently founded the League Of Western Fortean Intermediatists (L.O.W.F.I.).

HAPPY NEW YEAR  from Waking Up Orwell – NO NEW YEARS EVE PROGRAM

We want to wish all of our listeners a happy, safe and prosperous 2010.

Our hearts and minds go out a real hero and cvil liberty champion, Michael Bednarik and to his family at this difficult time recovering from a Christmas health emergency.  At last report he is doing better.

We also want to alert listeners to have your caution lights on. Technology security hawks are looking to boost domestic database intelligence gathering (ATS, backscatter body scanners) since the Christmas terrorist attacks.

The problem with this scenario is the terrorist boarded and entered US airspace from Amsterdam via Yemen.  The terrorist didn’t board a domestic US flight.  Extra screening of American passengers won’t change boarding procedures overseas.  The Nigerian only succeeded in making Dick Cheney high on the scent of neo-con prospective contract entitlement.

Cheney and neo-con politicists are so high on the fresh terrorism they are saying things like 9-11 didn’t happen on Bush’s watch.  Please ignore any partisan attempt to get you to surrender any of your few remaining freedoms.  Make no fast moves to do anything except party.  Everytime you point out that the 9-11 attacks succeeded due to National Security incompetence during the Bush administration a war criminal loses their power.  So keep tellin’ the truth.

Among reports of possible psy-ops is a TSA worker in Oakland airport who bears a striking resemblance to Cindy Sheehan. Not her fault.  Coincidence?  Maybe.

See you soon.

Tim has been around the UFO scene for close to 50 years. He helped Jim Moseley organize conventions in the late 1960s, hung out with authors/ pranksters Gray Barker and James Moseley, and counted some of the classic contactees as friends.

He has also been publishing UFO and mysteries books for over two decades as president and CEO of Inner Light Publications. Have you heard of “Commander X?” Tim discussed this mysterious character and how he was able to write so many titles such as The Reality of the Serpent Race, Underground Alien Bases, and The Secret Plan of the Evil Shadow Government.

OK, I made that last one up, but Tim and I also talked about the early UFO scene and the colorful and fascinating history of UFO and space-themed publishing, some of which reaches back into the murky genesis of sci-fi pulp magazines of the 1930s.

We also discussed his encounter with a Man In Black in the 1960s and his photo of a mysterious character standing outside a friend’s New Jersey home, published in his 1990 book Mystery of the Men in Black: The UFO Silencers.

If you ask most people to name important folk protest records of the sixties, they probably wouldn’t name something by Johnny Cash — or even think of Johnny Cash as a folk protest singer. But Cash did record an album that certainly fits that bill. And those who are aware of it, do acknowledge its power and intensity. It, however, has remained obscure for all these decades. The reasons for that are part of a larger fascinating and compelling story full of controversy and drama. It’s all captured in a wonderful new book called “A Heartbeat and a Guitar: Johnny Cash and the Making of Bitter Tears.” Hear a discussion with the author, Antonino D’Ambrosio.

Former general counsel to the 9-11 Commission, John Farmer shares hidden truths about the events leading up to the September 11th attacks. In his book, The Ground Truth, the Untold Story of America Under Attack on 9-11 he recounts and pinpoints what the public has missed the entire time regarding the attacks– government culpability from ineptitude and neglect. Listening to this important interview will clear up foggy notions about identity of the attackers and how government handling of this tragedy might be interpreted.
