Punk as a Doornail take inspiration from the radical “no wave / No New York” sound of the late seventies, have a guitar made out of a skateboard, sing songs about evil mermaid babies, and got declared by OC Weekly to be one of the best bands ever to come out of Orange County. This sort of weirdness belongs at KUCI. Hear them live on Out The Rabbit Hole.
I’m a big Spoon fan – or more specifically, I’m a fan of an old acquaintance who just happens to BE the band … Britt Daniel. He and I met back in the early 1990s while we were both working at Origin Systems, Inc. – the computer game company. He gave me a copy of his demo tape (what became Telephono) that was recorded over an old Red Hot Chili Peppers cassette tape. I was hooked and have been an admirer ever since.
There’s always been a big quotient of Spoon songs on my radio stations. I can’t wait to get a copy of this Euro Only release. Currently, we’ve got just about all of their older albums in rotation and we look forward to getting a copy of the newest single, Underdog.
Spoon (Europe Only): Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
Coming July 10, 2007
With a history of stellar records, Spoon has topped themselves with Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, a thrilling album recorded …

Friends,
Live365, along with the SaveNetRadio coalition and Internet radio stations throughout the U.S. and world, will be participating in Tuesday, June 26th’s Day of Silence.
On June 26th, all 10,000 Live365 stations launched from our website, and Internet radio broadcasts nationwide, will go silent and be redirected to a Day of Silence stream that offers an explanation, broadcaster testimonials and a call to action.
The Day of Silence will bring much needed attention to the danger Internet radio is encountering. We recommend contacting your local media letting them know of the planned Day of Silence and its meaning. Click here for a helpful media search tool.
We understand the possible disruptions this may cause, but feel drastic measures are necessary. By joining together with all other Internet radio stations Live365 will show them what they can look forward to if things don’t change quickly … Silence.

Today, Tuesday May 8th, was supposed to be a DAY OF SILENCE and solidarity amongst broadcasters opposing the new royalty decisions by the Powers That Be. But then the deadline for new royalty fee payments was postponed and the coalitions have postponed their Day Of Silence. I thought it should go forward as planned. So I’ve compromised and decided to begin running as many PSAs on the issues as I can until the REAL Day of Silence is decided upon. Thus begins the Days of Protest here on Anomaly Radio.

What’s New!
- According to the CRB’s statutory interpretation, the first payments for Internet radio webcasters are due July 15, 2007 instead of May 15, 2007. This is welcome news for webcasters, the artists they support, and the millions of listeners who enjoy Internet radio. SaveNetRadio.org will spend the next 45 days educating Members of Congress and their staffs about the incredible diversity of programming Internet radio offers us all. Keep the pressure up! Your call TODAY to your local rep would help get our message across.

Act Now!
The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger. Royalty rates for webcasters have been drastically increased by a recent ruling and are due to go into effect on May 15 (retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!). Internet radio needs your help! H.R. 2060, The Internet Radio Equality Act was introduced by Representatives Jay Inslee (D-WA) and Donald Manzullo (R-IL) to save the Internet radio industry. Please call your congressperson to ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 2060 by clicking below.
Our Message
Make your voice heard by the lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
- Support H.R. 2060, The Internet Radio Equality Act.
- Void the retroactive $500 per channel minimum that threatens to drive Live365’s small webcasters out of business.
- Eliminate retroactive payment increases for the 14 months of operation before rates were determined and stop payment of retroactive and increased fees until all appeals have been heard.
- Bring back a percentage of revenue option for webcasters
- Establish Internet Radio sound recording fees in equality with other radio services.
What We Are Doing
- We have joined our fellow Digital Media Association (DiMA) members and the Internet radio industry at large to combat this unfair ruling made by the CRB.
- We have helped form the SaveNetRadio Coalition, a group that includes listeners, artists, labels and webcasters, to raise awareness on Capitol Hill of the grave threat that the new CRB rates have posed to the Internet radio industry.
